unreachable
home

For most people, home is a sense of belonging. However, for some people, home may not give them mental support because it brings oppression. Now, home is fragile for them.

“Home is not only a micro scale, but also on a macro scale”. Since 2019, due to the Anti-Extradition Law Amendment Bill Movement, more and more people have been disappointed about the situation and have decided to leave their home— Hong Kong. Home, in their definition, now becomes a distant and fragile unreachable place for them.

In this audio portrait, I had a chat with Catie Yau, who is from Hong Kong. She talks about her memorable story about home and the sadness of the home that no longer exists.
